Beth in the Orange Mode

Beth Farmer is a Gemini from Hyden, KY residing in Buffalo, New York and her passion is music and dance performance—being a positive inspiration to others. How long have you been expressing your artistic side? Beth replies, “Not including my days as a toddler standing on a coffee table, hair brush in hand, while looking into an oversized mirror, singing songs I’d learned in Church, or seen on the latest episode of Soul Train. I’ve been expressing my artistic side since I was 9 years old, through music, art, creative writing, and dance. Remembering every song to “The Little Mermaid” soundtrack that I received on my 9th birthday in only two days, is how my Mother describes the beginning of my musical journey.”

Do you have any tattoos and do they have a special meaning? Beth replies, “I currently have one tattoo. It is a tribal sign marked with a rose. It expresses my Native American heritage and June, the month I was born (a rose symbolizes the month of June) I plan on getting more, though.” Now that is nice to hear someone who gets tattoo’s with real significance meaning. Do you know what other tattoos you will get and the reason behind it? Beth replies, “Something lyrical, more than likely related to music and/or dance. Tattoos are permanent, so I want them to have a very personal and special meaning.”You are a lovely and talented young lady; I am sure all the guys out in the Orangeverse would like to know are you single. Beth replies, no I am currently engaged to Chuckie Campbell, a teacher, musician, and a writer. Beth replies, “No, but when I do, I just hope to be blessed with a beautiful healthy baby boy, or girl.

What would you say your best attribute is? Beth replies, “It’s a toss-up between my eyes, smile, and hair.” I just loved your music clip, it has a Country but pop sound to it, what inspired you to write it? She responds, “I’m inspired by life experiences and emotions, love, loss, joy, pain, relationships, etc.” How would you describe your musical sound? Beth replies, “I love all music!!! But, my musical sound can be described as Country-Alternative/Pop, with a whole lot of soul.” Name one of your songs on your Album and what inspired you to write it. The song City Boy was written in about 20 minutes. It was a freestyle that turned into a hometown favorite. The inspiration for the song is pretty obvious. Hahaha. I’m a southern girl who crossed paths with a City Boy. It’s just that simple.” Can you boogie? Beth replies, “Yes, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, and Salsa.” You are a superstar for sure. What are some clubs you would recommend from your city? What would you recommend someone who visits your city check out? To dance the night away, Chippewa Street has an array of bars to satisfy your booty shakin’ needs, including Bottoms Up, Pure, and The Purple Monkey.”

Do you work out or go to the gym? Beth replies, “I have a gym membership where I tend to be more active during the spring, and summer months. I’m an energetic person, “on the go” person most of the time.” That keeps me in pretty good shape. We can tell, keep up the great job. Do you drink and if so what is your favorite drink? Beth replies, “Hoegarden, Blue Moon, PBR, and Michelob Ultra are my favorite beers—one for each mood! Lol.
